LPD: Teen forced out of car at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a 14-year-old ended up on the side of the road after taking his parent’s car.

Officers were called to Smuggler’s Notch Drive in Lexington at around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday and found the teenager there.

He told police he was driving the car and picked up some other juveniles.

One of them pulled a gun on him.

He got out and they took off, according to police.

Officers spotted the car about twenty minutes later on New Circle Road and Russell Cave Road.

They pulled it over and four people got out and ran.

Officers took three of them into custody, charging one with receiving stolen property.
