LPD: Teen drove car at group of people, swerved at last moment
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington teen has been arrested after officers say he drove a car at a rate of 60 to 70 miles per hour towards a group of five people.
Officers say 19-year-old Cory Cline was driving erratically in the area of Williamsburg Road and Lane Allen Road, far above the 25 mile per hour speed limit. Police say a group of people tried to get Cline to slow down. That’s when Cline drove his car at the group at high speed, only to swerve to miss them at the last second.
According to an arrest citation, Cline did this a second time.
Cline was arrested and charged with 5 counts of wanton endangerment.
