LPD: Suspect nearly hits officer while fleeing disorder
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington police officer is fine after nearly being hit by someone as they drove away from a reported disorder early Wednesday morning.
Officers say they were called about a disturbance at the Econo Lodge on Athens-Boonesboro Road at around 3:00 a.m.
When they arrived on the scene, investigators say they attempted to talk to people in a white Stratus who they believe were involved in the disturbance.
Instead of talking, however, the people in the car sped off in reverse, nearly hitting an officer.
Police say the car was last seen heading south on I-75.
No one was injured.
