LPD: Teenager admits to murder
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An arrest is made in a murder in Lexington and police say the suspect admitted to it.
18-year-old Timothy Ganther was arrested Monday night in connection to the killing of 28-year-old Jerome Wadsworth back on September 3rd.
Court documents say Ganther and Wadsworth knew each other.
Wadsworth was found shot at the Eastridge Apartments on Alumni Drive.
He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital where he died.
Police say Wadsworth was from Michigan.
There is no word on a motive for the shooting.
In addition to the murder charge, Ganther is also charged with importing and trafficking heroin.
Court documents say Ganther confessed to transporting 100 grams of heroin from Ohio into Kentucky with the intent to sell it.
Ganther is scheduled to appear in court today on all three charges.
