LPD: UK Student Robbed at Gunpoint on Red Mile Rd.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say they’re looking for an armed man after a robbery Thursday night on Red Mile Road. They say it happened a little after 7:00 outside an apartment complex.

The reported victim is a student at the University of Kentucky. He tells ABC 36 News he had just stepped into his car and was looking at his phone when a man opened his car door, climbed into the backseat, and held a gun to his ribs. He says the armed man took his car keys, wallet, and cellphone.

Police say no one was hurt.
