LPD: Stabbing sends victim to hospital with ‘serious’ wounds

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A stabbing that happened at a halfway house in Lexington has sent the victim to the hospital Tuesday, according to Lexington Police.

Police say the stabbing happened just before 3 p.m. They say someone was being dropped off at the Messner House on Hillrise Court when another resident of the house approached and stabbed the man in the abdomen and upper body.

Police say the suspected stabber ran away. The victim was sent to UK Hospital and went into surgery immediately. Police call the wounds “serious.”

Police say the victim is 31 years old.

The search continues for the suspect. They are working to determine his identity.
