UPDATE: Lexington Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Versailles
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -Police in Versailles have taken a man into custody who is wanted in connection to a stabbing incident in Lexington on Tuesday.
Officers say 27-year-old Aylette J. Gibbins went to a home on Henton Road at about 8:30 p.m., and stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend who, in turn, fired a gun at Gibbins. Gibbins reportedly ran off after the shooting.
Police originally believed Gibbins had been shot, but learned that he was uninjured. The unidentified stabbing victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor wounds.
Several hours later, Versailles police found Gibbins and took him into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Charges are still pending on Gibbins in Fayette County.

LPD: Shooting and Stabbing Involving Old and New Boyfriend
Lexington Police say they’re trying to determine exactly what happened in a stabbing and shooting involving a woman’s old and new boyfriend.
Investigators say an old boyfriend showed up at a house on Henton Road Tuesday evening and stabbed the woman’s new boyfriend, who police say then shot the old boyfriend.
Police say the man who was shot ran off and hasn’t been found.
Investigators say the stabbing victim showed up at UK Hospital where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
No names were released.
Lexington Police are still investigating.
