LPD searching for 3 in string of robberies, shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department says they are trying to identify three people they say are connected with a shooting and multiple robberies.
Officers say the suspects are believed to be connected to all of the following crimes:
Investigators with the Lexington Police Department are working to identify three individuals who are believed to be connected with a shooting and multiple commercial robberies this week.
- 4:49 a.m. June 28 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Malabu Drive in response to a robbery and shooting. The victim told officers that three men wearing masks approached him and during the course of the incident he was shot in the leg. The suspects then stole the victim’s cell phone and wallet.
- 4:54 a.m. June 28 – Officers responded to the Speedway at 515 Euclid Avenue for an armed robbery. The store clerk reported that two men entered the store, displayed firearms and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the men fled with cash.
- 5:02 a.m. June 28 – Officers responded to the Speedway at 900 Winchester Road for an armed robbery. Two suspects brandished handguns and demanded from the clerk. They took cash from the register and fled.
- 5:27 a.m. June 28 – Officers were dispatched to the Waffle House at 5548 Athens-Boonesboro Road in reference to an armed robbery. Employees told officers that two men entered the restaurant brandishing handguns and demanded money. The suspects took cash and fled from the area.
The three suspects in these incidents are described as being in their late teens or early twenties. They were seen wearing hooded shirts and bandanas/masks over their faces.
