LPD: Search continues for man who assaulted officer

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say there is no sign yet of a man accused of getting into a fight with an officer.
According to police, an officer pulled over a driver around 7:00 this morning on I-64, near the 83 mile marker. Police say the officer says they ended up fighting. The officer says he tried to use his taser, but couldn’t. He says the suspect tried to take his gun, but failed. According to the officer, the suspect then ran into the woods, near I-64 and South Cleveland Road.
Police were called to Hume Road, because of a tip he was there. But police didn’t find him.
