LPD: Police search for hotel robbery suspect

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed the front desk of a hotel.

It happened at 1 a.m. Thursday at the Springhill Suites by Marriott on South Broadway.

Investigators say a man wearing khaki pants, a green shirt, and a dark hat entered the hotel and told the cashier he had a weapon but did not show it.

They say the man took an undisclosed amount of money and ran from the hotel.

Police say they searched the area, but have not located the suspect.
