LPD: Overnight Business Break-ins May be Connected

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are investigating two overnight break-ins, and say they may be connected.

The first happened at PP&G Paints on East Main Street at about 10:30 p.m.  Investigators say someone broke out the glass in the front of the business and went inside, but they don’t believe anything was taken.

Then, 45 minutes later, someone used a planter to smash out the front door at Ruth Hunt Candies on Walton Avenue.

Once inside, police say they took money from a cash drawer and took off.

ABC 36 has reached out for additional information in the investigation, and will update this story as it becomes available.
