LPD: Murder suspect turns himself in

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a suspect wanted for the murder of a Lexington man is now in custody.

Jermaine D. Yates is accused of killing Kerry D. Kenney on July 1.

Kenney was found shot to death in a car on North Broadway and Short Street.

A warrant was issued for Yates’ arrest last week.

Police say he turned himself in on Monday.
