LPD: Man with knife robs store

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man robbed a Lexington gas station clerk at knifepoint Wednesday.

The suspect walked into the Shell Gas Station on Richmond Road just after 2 a.m. wearing a camouflage mask over his face.

He showed the clerk a large knife and demanded money.

Police say the clerk walked out with the suspect but did not say if the suspect forced him outside.

Police believe the suspect then ran off to a nearby hotel parking lot.

They say that’s where they lost the track.
