LPD: Man shot multiple times in early morning shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say they are investigating after a man was found shot multiple times on Douglas Avenue Tuesday morning.

Police say they were called to Douglas Avenue just before 5 a.m., and when they arrived they say they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say witnesses told them there were 6-7 people running towards Florence Avenue after the shots were fired.
