LPD: Man says he was shot by “masked people”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) Police say they don’t have much to go on, following an early-morning shooting.

Police got a call about a man who was shot and at a home on Thoroughbred Way. When they got to the scene, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He told them he was approached by several masked people who robbed and shot him on Lima Drive.Police say the victim then drove himself to Thoroughbred Way.

He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with a non life-threatening injury.
