LPD: Man robs hotel with butcher knife

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A daring robbery at a Lexington hotel late Tuesday night.

According to police, a man came into the lobby of the Ramada Inn at 2143 North Broadway at 11 p.m. wearing a white ski mask and carrying a butcher knife.

They say there were several employees in the lobby at the time but that didn’t stop the thief from jumping over the counter, taking money from the register and leaving.

Police say there were no customers around when the robbery happened and no one was injured.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
