LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is accused of ramming a stolen car into a police cruiser and injuring an officer in Lexington.

Court documents say officers tried to stop 26-year-old Wesley Brown after they spotted what appeared to be a drug transaction on Martin Luther King Boulevard Wednesday morning.

They say Brown took off, driving down the sidewalk then onto the road, slamming into a police cruiser.

The officer in the cruiser was taken to the hospital.

Brown faces several charges including wanton endangerment and assault.
