LPD: Man found shot on Honey Jay Court

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A shooting victim is in serious condition at University of Kentucky Hospital after being shot Sunday night.

Police say officers driving around Centre Parkway heard gun shots around 10:30 p.m.

Police say they also spotted a man running towards Centre Parkway. A short time later, officers found a man shot on Honey Jay Court.

Animal Control was called to the scene to pick up a pet dog.

Officials have not confirmed if that pet belonged to the shooting victim.

Police are searching for the shooting suspect.
