LPD: Man caught coming out of store he burglarized

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say they didn’t have to go far to catch a burglar. They say they got him right as he was coming out of the business he broke into.

Court documents say police were called to 621 Winchester Road on Saturday at around 9:40 p.m. to a reported burglary.

When the officers arrived, they found glass on the door of the business broken out. They say 50-year-old Tod Johnson then came out of the door.

He was taken into custody. Police say they found items on Johnson from the business.

Johnson is charged with 3rd degree burglary.
