LPD: Man arrested for carrying handgun in area of recent shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers in Lexington arrested a man early Thursday morning after receiving a complaint that he was walking around with a handgun in a Lexington neighborhood where a shooting had occurred only hours earlier.

Police say they received a complaint around 12:30 a.m. about two men walking around with a handgun in the 3600 block of Appian Way.

Officers say when they found the men and questioned them, they discovered that 23-year-old Christian Greenlee was carrying a loaded handgun.

Greenlee was arrested and taken to the Fayette Co. Detention Center on a charge of carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
