LPD: I-64 traffic is slow as crews cleanup semi crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say a closed lane of I-64 in Lexington should reopen around midnight. It was closed for cleanup near mile marker 75 after officers say a semi rear-ended another semi.

According to police, two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the collision. Officers say the truck driver who rear-ended the semi had possibly misjudged how fast the semi was going.

Police say there is an extensive clean-up effort because of the fluids that spilled from the trucks.

As of this writing, officers say traffic is slow near the accident scene.
