LPD: Three people arrested after meth lab found in apartment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police arrested three people after they say a meth lab was discovered on Gerald Drive on Wednesday. Investigators say Crystal Wyman and Nancy McCarty were both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors. They say George Davis was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance First. Investigators say Davis also had active Probation Violation warrants out of Florida for the Manufacturing of a Dangerous Substance.

Police say it all began around 8:00 a.m. when officers responded to a call of a chemical smell coming from an apartment. Investigators say two people were inside the apartment. They were decontaminated by the Lexington Fire Department. The Fire Department evacuated the building along with the two neighboring buildings as a precaution.

Investigators say no one was injured.
