LPD: Driver knocks down utility pole, arrested for DUI
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A driver was charged with driving under the influence Tuesday night after knocking down a utility pole, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators say it happened at the intersection of Todds Road and North Cleveland Road around 7:49 p.m.
Police say the driver was not injured, but was arrested for DUI and taken to jail. The driver’s name wasn’t released.
Police say the intersection was shutdown for nearly two hours while Windstream replaced the downed pole.
