LPD: Driver Arrested for DUI After Crashing into Front Porch

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say a driver was arrested for DUI Wednesday night after a car crashed into the front porch of a home on Bassett Avenue.

Witnesses tell police the driver was passed out in a parked car in a driveway before the collision.

Officers say the car was put in reverse, and it went across the street and collided into the porch.

Investigators say there were people inside the home at the time of the crash, but no one was hurt. They say a column in the front of the home was knocked down, and firefighters worked to put it back in its place.
