LPD: Accused killer turns himself in
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police accuse a man of murdering his girlfriend.
They say 45-year-old William R. Pomeroy turned himself in Friday afternoon. According to police, 43-year-old Amy Koegel was found shot to death earlier in the day. Investigators say her body was discovered in the couple’s backyard on Pinkney Drive. They say officers went to the home because Koegel had been reported missing.
Police say Pomeroy is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
