LPD: 70 arrests made in NCAA Tournament celebrations

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say 70 people were arrested after the Cats’ NCAA Tournament games. Police say most of those involved charges of disorderly conduct.

According to the department, more than half of the arrests came last Saturday and overnight after the Cats’ loss to Wisconsin. Police say most of the arrests were made on State Street, near the U.K. campus. The 70 arrests compares to 39 arrests during the tournament last year.
