LPD: 2 break into businesses, steal and crash van
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police have two people in custody after three businesses were broken into on Lane Allen Road Sunday morning.
According to police, the two stole a catering van from a deli but then crashed the van into a Thornton’s fuel pump.
Then they pulled the van into a liquor store parking lot.
This, after police said the two broke into three businesses, including the deli.
The van was eventually located.
A few hours later, police arrested 19-year-old Daniel Prater and charged him with three counts of burglary, receiving stolen property and unlawful transaction with a minor.
Court documents said the other suspect was a 17-year-old.
He was also taken into custody.
