Lowest Labor Day gas prices since 2004
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Gas prices this Labor Day are set to be the lowest in more than 15 years.
According to Gas Buddy, the company predicts a national average of $2.10 per gallon which is down nearly 37 cents from last year. It’s the lowest priced Labor Day since 2004 which saw $1.82 per gallon on average.
And Lexington is seeing a similar trend. On Friday, Gas Buddy reported the cheapest price in the city was $1.93 per gallon at Lex Express on New Circle Road and $1.96 per gallon at Speedway on Winchester Road.
Gas Buddy lists Dodge’s Store in Hopkinsville as the cheapest in the state at $1.76 per gallon.
