Louisville organizations trying to raise $1 million to prevent veteran suicide
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Louisville based veterans’ support group is trying to raise $1,000,000 to fight PTSD, unemployment, homelessness, and depression, the leading causes of veteran suicide.
USA Cares says just $1 will help provide veterans with:
- Groceries and fuel
- Utility support (electricity, gas and water)
- Relocation expenses related to a new career
- Auto payments
- A rent or mortgage payment, to prevent eviction or foreclosure
