Louisville man killed in Laurel County motorcycle crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash in Laurel County.

The crash happened shortly after 8 PM Tuesday night, May 8, on American Greeting Card Road, 9 miles south of London.

Investigators say that it appears that a Yamaha motorcycle lost control around a curve, drove off the road and hit a fence.

The impact reportedly caused the driver’s helmet to come off, which caused serious injuries.

The driver was identified as 42 year-old William Hathaway of Louisville.

He was transported to Corbin Healthcare Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
