Louisville man charged with human trafficking, promoting prostitution

FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ) – Charges are filed against a Louisville man who authorities say was involved in human trafficking, and authorities say some of the victims were underage.

Attorney General Andy Beshear announced Monday that 51-year-old Nigel Karl Nicholas is charged with human trafficking and promoting prostitution.

Two of the four victims were under the age of 18, according the attorney general.

The arrest is in connection with the February 13 search of a Louisville home.

Nicholas will be arraigned in Jefferson District Court at 9 a.m. February 20.
