Louisville lawyer appointed to women’s museum commission
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Louisville woman has been appointed to serve on the newly created National Women’s History Museum Commission. Bridget Bush, a lawyer, was appointed by Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.
The commission is tasked with the creation of a National Women’s History Museum in Washington. It will have eight members, two of them appointed by McConnell. The commission will eventually make a recommendation to the president and Congress on the establishment of the museum.
The report is expected in the next 18 months.
McConnell also appointed Jane Abraham of Michigan to serve on the commission.
