Louisville lands daily nonstop flight to LAX
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – American Airlines will begin offering a daily, nonstop flight from Louisville International Airport to the Los Angeles International Airport next year.
Governor Matt Bevin’s office made the announcement Thursday.
The state says the direct flight will boost business travel options and attract both West Coast and international corporate investment.
Service will begin on April 2, 2019.
Tickets for the seven-day-a-week nonstop roundtrip flight, which will use a 128-seat Airbus A319, will go on sale November 5.
The flight is scheduled to depart Louisville International Airport at 7:24 a.m. and arrive at LAX at 9 a.m.
The nonstop return flight is scheduled to depart LAX at 10:55 p.m. and arrive at Louisville International Airport at 6:02 a.m.
