Louisville authorities searching for felony dog torture suspect
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Louisville police are actively searching for a man accused of killing a puppy during a violent argument with his girlfriend.
According to officers, Demetrius Hebert is wanted on a felony warrant for torture of a dog. Investigators say Hebert was involved in a dispute with his girlfriend when he allegedly grabbed their pit mix puppy, named Kash, by the neck, swung the dog violently, and threw him into a glass table.
Police say the puppy later died from his injuries at an animal hospital.
