Lotto ticket burglar busted

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Wednesday September 27th around 2:00 am the Knox County Sheriff’s Department responded to a Burglary at the S and M Market on KY 11 in Girdler. A dispenser containing Kentucky Lotto scratch off tickets was taken.

Police later learned that some of the stolen Lotto tickets had been cashed in at several different locations in Laurel County.

They were able to obtain surveillance video at four of the locations. The videos showed the same male cashing in winning tickets at all four locations.

the man is identified as 27-year-old Westley Hubbard of London.

Thursday he was charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, he is now lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

Other arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
