Lottery Drawings To End On TV

For years, Kentucky Lottery drawings have been shown on TV just before 11 p.m. But that will stop in a few weeks.

The lottery says it will end TV broadcasts of its drawings, probably around September 16th. The lottery says people will still be able to see the drawings as they’re streamed on-line on the lottery’s website.

The goal is to save money. The lottery says production of the TV drawings costs about a half-million dollars a year.

Mega Millions and Powerball drawings will continue to be televised.
