Lost Creek man killed in crash in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A lifelong resident of Lost Creek in Perry County died Wednesday night in a car accident, according to Perry County Sheriff Joe Engle.

The sheriff says 59-year old Jerry Jones was killed in the crash on Lost Creek Road (KY 1146) at the entrance to Harris Branch Road.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m.

Jones’ body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy, according to investigators.

Sheriff Engle posted on the office’s Facebook page that Jones was loved by the community and will be missed.

In addition to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Lost Creek Fire/EMS also responded to the accident scene.
