London man accused of DUI, nearly hitting 2 officers with car
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A London man is accused of driving under the influence and nearly hitting two officers with his car on Friday evening.
According to the London Police Department, two officers were investigating the scene of a car crash when Samuel Baker drove past them, nearly hitting both officers.
An officer later found Baker in the driveway of his home with the car still running and Baker sitting inside, police said.
Baker then got out of his car, ran and barricaded himself in a shed.
He allegedly “refused multiple commands by officers,” and police had to force entry to the shed. Baker was arrested.
He’s charged with wanton endangerment (police officer), fleeing or evading police, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and menacing and resisting arrest.
