Local Hero Awarded New House

U.S. Marine Corporal Matt Bradford was given a new house today that was built especially for him.

The build was sponsored by Helping A Hero, an organization which tailors homes to wounded veterans.

The Kentucky native was injured by a IED while serving on his second tour of Iraq in 2007.

The incident left him blind and a double amputee.

The Bradfords say the new house will help them lead normal lives again.

Senator Rand Paul and Congressman Andy Barr attended the ceremony.
