Local Dance Students To Perform In Moscow Ballet’s “Nutcracker”

Central Kentucky’s finest young dancers will take the stage with the Moscow Ballet for their November 26 performance of the "Great Russian Nutcracker".

Dancers ages 7 to 16 from five local dance studios have been rehearsing for the performance for weeks. They had to audition for their roles in September and October.

The student dancers will join the 40 professionals from the Moscow Ballet for only one dress rehearsal before their performance next week at the Singletary Center.

The local-infused performance is part of the "Dance With Us" program the Moscow Ballet began in 1993 and offers young performers the opportunity to audition, rehearse, and perform with a professional, internationally touring ballet company.
