Local boxer headed to Rio

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Samantha Kinchen once hoped to box in the 2016 Olympic games in Rio.

While she will not be there in the ring, she is going…as a chaplain with Athletes in Action.

It may be a little bittersweet, it’s still pretty sweet for the Lexington star still hoping to get back to the games in 2020 in a competitive capacity.
