Local A&W Restaurants celebrate ‘National Root Beer Float Day’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Friday the 6th is ‘National Root Beer Float Day’ and Lexington and Richmond A&W restaurants celebrated with some free floats.

The restaurants gave away free small root beer floats but also collected donations for disabled american veterans.

Since 2013, A&W has raised more than $800,000 for veteran’s groups during national root beer float day.
