Local 9/11 Memorial wreath ceremony
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A remembrance and wreath ceremony was held Wednesday in Lexington to honor the lives lost on September 11.
The event included remarks from fire and police personnel, as well as the laying of wreaths at both fire and police memorials.
Community members gathered at the Fallen Firefighters Monument in Phoenix Park at 9 a.m. to reflect and remember the sacrifices made by first responders and others impacted by the 9/11 attacks.
The ceremony was hosted by the Lexington Fire Department and the Fraternal Order of Firefighters.
