Lincoln County school board approves next phase of high school renovation project

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lincoln County Board of Education has approved bids for Phase Two of the high school renovation project.

The next round of upgrades will include a new front entrance plaza, turf infields for both baseball and softball fields, and an expansion to the football field house, which also serves as a classroom. Superintendent Bruce Smith said the improvements are designed to enhance safety, learning space, and athletic facilities.

Phase One of the project focused on the school’s interior. After construction delays, work is now back on schedule. The project is being funded through the Kentucky General Assembly along with additional state assistance.

School officials also remind families that the first day of classes in Lincoln County is set for Monday, September 8.
