Lincoln County Investigating Two Break-Ins

Authorities in Lincoln County are trying to determine if two convenience store break-ins there are connected.

Police said someone threw a rock through the window of the Marathon station on Frontier Boulevard in Stanford just after midnight Thursday and stole cigarettes.

They said the suspect took off in a car with another person inside.

Investigators said this is similar to another store break-in shortly before at the D and M Market on Stanford Street in Crab Orchard.

They said in that case an alarm went off and when police arrived they found glass broken out but nothing was taken.

They are reviewing surveillance video in both cases.
