Lily man dead after single-vehicle accident

LILY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel Co. Sheriff’s Office says the cause of a fatal single-vehicle crash was likely due to the driver suffering some kind of medical emergency.

Authorities say they were called to Ky 552, about 6 miles south of London, just before 12:30 a.m. Friday about a car crash.  Detectives say the car had run off the road at a very low speed, causing little damage to the vehicle.

Investigators say when they arrived, they found a man unresponsive in the car.  They say they pulled the man out and began administering CPR until an emergency medical workers showed up.  They transported the man to St. Joseph Hospital London where he was pronounced dead, say detectives.

The Sheriff’s Office says the driver was 48-year-old Billy Brandenburg of Lily, Kentucky.
