Lily man arrested after domestic disturbance in Laurel County
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Lily man was arrested Tuesday night following a reported domestic disturbance in Laurel County.
According to authorities, deputies arrested 54-year-old Kenneth Joseph Chapman around 11:04 p.m. on Braxton Lane after responding to a call about a possible domestic incident in progress.
Deputies say their investigation determined Chapman allegedly held a woman down and shoved her toward the floor, preventing her from getting up.
Officials also say Chapman allegedly resisted deputies as they attempted to place him into a patrol vehicle, causing a disturbance before he was eventually escorted inside.
Chapman was charged with fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
