Lightning strike causes gas leak in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Storms over the weekend caused a gas leak in a Lexington neighborhood.

Representatives from Columbia Gas say a lightning strike caused the leak, forcing several homes to evacuate early Sunday morning on Tanbark Road just off of Man O’ War Boulevard.

Gas and electricity was shut off to multiple homes.

People living in the neighborhood were eventually able to return to their houses.
