Lightning Starts Fire At Paris Library
Firefighters in Paris blamed lightning for a fire that started at an old downtown library.
Crews report that it happened around 5:30 Saturday afternoon during the storms that swept through the area. They arrived to smoke and flames coming from the building which is under construction.
Firefighters said there were no materials inside but the fire started in the attic which made it difficult to reach. Lexington fire crews also assisted.
Construction on the library is supposed to be completed next August.
