Lighting Copper Theft Along 75

Lexington Police say someone took four-thousand feet of copper wiring from light fixtures around mile marker 120 on I-75.

A driver complained some lights were out in late March.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet investigated and found wiring was missing from 20 lights.

It’s been replaced, scrap yards have been told to be on the lookout for someone selling a big amount of copper.
